Bio
Anne Smith is a highly experienced physical therapist with over 24 years of dedication to the field. Her passion for sports and deep fascination with human anatomy have been driving forces throughout her career. After graduating from Texas A&M, Anne pursued her Master’s in Physical Therapy at UTMB Galveston, where she developed a strong focus on neurorehabilitation.
Anne specializes in working with individuals facing neurological and physical challenges, helping them break through barriers, shift their mindsets, regain independence, and thrive in their environments. For the past decade, she has collaborated with an exceptional team of neuro therapists at Rehab Without Walls, a cutting-edge rehabilitation program that integrates therapy into clients’ everyday lives, whether at home, school, work, or within their community.
Anne’s commitment extends beyond her professional work. She volunteers as a running, triathlon, and hand cycle guide for adaptive athletes. She has also volunteered at Team Catapult’s Paralympic training camps and with Erik Weihenmayer’s No Barriers outdoor program, “What’s Your Everest?”
Anne enjoys staying active through triathlons, hiking, and paddle boarding in her free time with her St. Bernard, Bruno. She is a proud mother of two daughters, competing in track and cross country at the collegiate level. While her heart is in the mountains, Anne calls Austin, Texas, her home.

Betsy Gilbert is a seasoned speech-language pathologist with over 15 years of experience and is the owner and director of Therapy Works LLC. Driven by a commitment to delivering high-quality speech and occupational therapy services, Betsy founded Therapy Works to support children and adults with intellectual disabilities. She has a unique passion for working with individuals with Down syndrome and has been a featured speaker at the National Down Syndrome Congress.
Betsy earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband, Scott, and daughter, Caris. Outside of her work, Betsy enjoys family time, traveling, and staying active through exercise.

Bio
Brittney is an experienced occupational therapist with specialized expertise in neurological recovery. Throughout her career, she has honed her skills in stroke and brain injury rehabilitation, emphasizing vision rehab for neurological conditions and upper extremity recovery. She holds dual certifications as a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist and Certified Neuro Specialist, showcasing her dedication to helping individuals regain independence after traumatic events.
As an advocate for comprehensive recovery, Brittney brings a holistic approach to therapy, integrating both evidence-based and functional practices into her work. Her journey with chronic illness, including long-term COVID-19, myalgic encephalomyelitis, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), informs her practice and enhances her empathetic understanding of her client’s struggles.
Brittney is passionate about promoting wellness through occupational therapy and empowering individuals to actively participate in their recovery. Her passion has led her to work in the community integration space with Rehab Without Walls. This leading transdisciplinary rehabilitation program focuses on meeting clients’ needs in their homes and communities through comprehensive team-based rehabilitation.
In addition to her clinical work, she provides professional presentations to the OT community, assists with occupational therapy research at the University of Texas, and is an active member of the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, where she has held multiple board and committee positions.
Outside of her career, Brittney enjoys camping, dancing, yoga, painting, and spending time with her husband and their fur babies. While her struggles with chronic illness can often limit meaningful engagement, she is driven to find time to enjoy the little things in life while also inspiring hope, empowering self-advocacy, and offering practical tools for achieving a meaningful and fulfilling life post-injury or illness.

Laurie Masino is a licensed Occupational Therapist and holds a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Secondary Transition Services, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. With over three decades of dedicated service to the special needs community, Laurie has worked across diverse settings including acute care, outpatient rehab, hand therapy, and school-age services, demonstrating a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by helping them meet their goals and achieve full integration into their communities in all aspects of daily living.
She has been instrumental in the development and supervision of community-based transition programs for youth with disabilities, as well as adult services programs tailored to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional support, and behavioral needs. Laurie’s passion is evident in her unwavering dedication to fostering personal growth, independence, self-confidence, socialization, self-advocacy, and progress toward individualized goals for those she serves.
Laurie strives to continuously innovate, develop and support programs that address the diverse needs of each individual. Through networking, she ensures that every person has access to meaningful resources and supports that meet their unique goals, while simultaneously building upon their strengths through person-centered programming. Inspired by the impact fitness had on her own health, Laurie has also explored ways to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their fitness goals in inclusive environments.
In her spare time, Laurie enjoys staying active, prioritizing health and wellness, spending time with her family, traveling, and embracing the outdoors.

Daniel Stein has been passionate about fitness since his early years, starting his workout journey in middle school. Since 2000, he has accumulated over 5,000 hours of personal workout sessions, and since 2012, he has gained more than 10,000 hours of experience in personal training. In 2016, Daniel founded Special Strong, with locations across the United States, dedicated to helping individuals with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges through adaptive fitness programs.
In 2019, Daniel expanded his impact by launching Strong Education, a certification program that has trained and certified over 1,400 trainers in 27 countries. His work has reached a global audience, positively influencing over 10,000 athletes. Daniel holds personal training certifications through the National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), underscoring his expertise in the field of adaptive fitness and personal training.

Morgan Hans is Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2015. She is the owner and Clinical Director of Shaping Little Minds Pediatric Therapy Center, a home-based ABA Therapy service company based in Spring, Texas. Morgan has worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder from ages 18 months old up to early adulthood in home, clinical, community, and school settings and has a passion for preparing kids for real-world experiences beyond therapy. Since opening her practice, Morgan has also found a passion for working with children in the foster care system.
Morgan earned her first master’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2015 and a second master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2017. She lives in Spring, Texas, with her husband, Ryan, and two sons, Gage and Maverick. She enjoys reading and spending time with her kids in her spare time.

Shelly Jones is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who has served both children and adults. She loves helping them develop, recover, and improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for abundant living. Before Shelly became a COTA, she spent many years volunteering with Easter Seals and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Spending time with many individuals with various disabilities taught her to believe that individuals can live life to the fullest and shine their brightest when they are empowered. That belief carries into her work as a COTA. Shelly has served both children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), developmental delays, muscular dystrophy, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy (CP), and many more. Shelly has experience with medically involved children and adults, including those with ventilators. Shelly graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree from Amarillo College in 2000. She has since worked in long-term care, home health, and clinic settings.

Meghan DuBois is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) who has treated both children and adults in multiple settings. Her goal is to help children and adults regain and retain independence after a traumatic event or a particular diagnosis. Meghan has served both children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy (CP), developmental delays, Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), behavioral disorders, neurological injuries, and more. She also has experience with adults and children in both inpatient and outpatient neuromuscular rehabilitation facilities. Meghan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2011 and an Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Keiser University in 2014

Elizabeth Seba developed the curriculum for our Adaptive Aquatics program. Seba has been a swim coach and volunteer for the Allen Special Olympics Delegation for over 15 years. She coaches swimmers as they transition to the deep pool, learning basic swim strokes and gaining swim confidence.

Adam Smith is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer with specializations in a variety of areas, including Corrective Exercise, Mixed Martial Arts, and Clients with Special Needs. He graduated with a BA in History from the University of North Texas in 2000 before relocating to Los Angeles, where he spent several years as a semi-working musician. A lifetime of participation in sports and athletic events led Adam to a career in fitness training in 2010. His eldest son Parker was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2016, which led to Adam eventually finding an opportunity to work with clients in the Special Needs community through Special Strong. What began as a part time endeavor on the side ultimately became a mission to serve a population whose members have great ambition, talent, and enthusiasm. In this environment, Adam has learned far more than he has taught, and has received more than he has given from people who merely need someone to believe in them. Adam lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife and three children.
